Our Audition Pathway
At Acton Academy Victoria, enrollment is an audition and discernment process, not an admissions pipeline. We are building a close-knit learning community of families who are aligned in vision, values, and expectations. This pathway helps ensure Acton Academy is the right fit for your child—and that your family is ready to step into a learner-driven culture.
Step 1
Explore the Acton Vision
Families begin by reading Courage to Grow, the foundational book that explains the Acton Academy model, learner-driven education, and the Hero’s Journey.
We also invite families to explore our website including our Resources section, where you can:

Watch short videos explaining our approach to learning and leadership

Listen to podcasts that unpack our philosophy, culture, and expectations

Download the Parent Reflection Guide and process through the refection questions as a family.

Become familiar with the rhythms and responsibilities of Acton families
This step ensures a shared language and understanding before moving forward.
Step 2
Family Interview
After engaging with Courage to Grow and our resources, families may schedule a family interview with the founders and Head of School. This is a relational conversation designed to explore alignment, clarify expectations, and discern whether Acton Academy Victoria is the right environment for your child and your family.
Step 3
Invitation to Apply
Families who demonstrate strong alignment and readiness will receive an invitation to apply. The application helps us understand your child’s strengths, motivations, and learning needs, as well as your family’s commitment to learner ownership and community life.
Step 4
Enrollment
Families who are accepted will receive an offer of enrollment. Upon enrollment, your family officially joins the Acton Academy Victoria community and begins preparing for the launch of your child’s Hero’s Journey.
